Story from Chris Woodring, former MCC Service Worker 

While living in Honduras, we have been homeschooling our children. On Friday it was my turn to teach phonics. As usual, I started the class with a song and a prayer and a little scripture reading. I read together with Johanan (6) and Milka (5) about how Jesus taught us to turn the other cheek...  
Within a few hours we were given a test on this teaching of Jesus. While Johanan was playing in the yard a masked man with a large butcher knife jumped the fence and grabbed him.  (read more)
